Assistant Headteacher

The Governors of Cross Lane Primary School are looking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Assistant Headteacher to join the school team in September 2019. Judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2017, Cross Lane is on an exciting journey and is determined to continue to improve standards and outcomes for all.    

Cross Lane sets high expectations, recognises achievement and celebrates success for all its children and adults. The motto ‘Growing Together’ is representative of the whole community. Our children are well behaved and highly motivated and staff members are committed to providing children with memorable learning experiences, inside and outside the classroom.   

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an excellent classroom teacher with a creative approach to learning
  • Has a proven track record for raising attainment and school improvement
  • Will develop and lead the school’s broad, balanced and rich Curriculum
  • Will lead our Key Stage 2 team effectively
  • Has experience teaching in KS2
  • Has high expectations for behaviour and is committed to the principles of inclusion
  • Has a working knowledge of current curriculum and teaching and learning developments, including evidence-based research
